Im stopping here. Actually binge watched this entire series in like 4 days till here. Now i will wait for more episodes and then watch again. Only thing i was sad about is love stories.. just because he thinks that he’ll be a burden to someone and in the end he will be all alone, he doesn’t progress that side..
A moment ago I thought (during yue chan and qing yi drama) that maybe, just maybe there is some hope that mc will progress on love side. But no, just battles and other story. Just now also, before leaving she was right there.. could have talked about it, but no just ignore it.
Just by closing eyes towards something doesn’t mean that it is not there. Im gonna really feel bad if in the end of this battle he chooses ling’er. I mean she is good, but that was childhood and stuff.. atleast thats what i think. In the end he is free to just be with himself and not associate with anyone.. I jut feel bad for mc, He should realise by now, that his friends are his power not his weakness.
And it’s is not scary or bad to pursue love, maybe he thinks that it might affect his tao. But think from Qing yi’s perspective, her tao and freedom on her mind is because she loves him..
I don’t know how the love story will progress. But rest of battles (a bit excessive) and storylines are good.
Wu, this is where you’re wrong. The stories are mostly battles. Love story here is so tragic. Qing Yi will run from Shi Hao, because she doesn’t want to acknowledge the marriage. Especially with SH being shameless and everything. Honestly, I think she’s already moved by SH and she’s just conflicted because she has a strong desire to be an immortal. That strong desire buds from the Green Lunar Flame of Qing Yue and become her dominant driving force. But later, when she’s already in Immortal Domain, she can’t forget him at all at the corner of her heart. Later when he “died” (or killed), she will be filled with endless regret. If you’re expecting some out of the world love story, you might be at the wrong place. Here in this story is how SH, despite all his losses, he made up for everything. Like if anyone ever dies, he will revive them at the end of the story. Or maybe seal them so they don’t die.
The focus of this series have never been about MC love. his focus have always been on becoming strongest to be oppressed by the corrupt upper realms etc.
so true! it’s about endless conquest and truth seeking. but it’s also true that love for his family (including wives) and friends, become his strongest drive to seek ultimate power. “To stand above all ages”
