To claim this is a “truly exceptional episode” that is “deeper and uncomfortable” is just downright cringe. There were much better villains/opponents than this arm ghost guy: Hong Die, Tuo Sen, even the fight with that zombie Teng …Yi(?) was better.
Every episode has weight, and this one is no exception. But if all you’re capable of seeing is ‘spectacle’ and ranking villains, then this episode was never meant for your expectations.
