I tend to look at things from a different perspective, The Wang Family is over domineering but what they’re doing would’ve been the best hope for some or a few to survive in the 9H 10E hadn’t a genius like Shi Shao appeared. Having lost the previous war back in Immortal ancient Era when they had immortal kings and complete dao law yet they currently have no Immortals and worst incomplete Dao Law, its sensible that they plundered the top techniques and find a way for their clan to survive. To them its hopeless to fight the foreign realm- which it is!!! calling them cowards because they dont want to throw their life away for some ridiculous glory isn’t stupid but smart. WHAT WOULD’VE HAPPEN HAD NOT A GENIUS LIKE SHI HAO WITH INCREDIBLE LUCK APPEARED? Would they still be stupid then??
Adding on to what i just said above, dont forget few Episodes back where Meng and Immortal Wang spoke they said that they both deduce the coming of the Cultivation-less Era, Hence the reason why Wang said we should be working together instead you’re here to fight for a youngster[Huang]. What’s wrong with justifying their action? In fact, a good well written villain can have a point. E.g. Thanos wanted to painlessly half the population to relieve resource starvation.

Thanos did it as a gift to his GF the God of Death. That makes sense.
For MCU, Thanos could’ve easily made it so:
* all resources grow back faster
* infinite resources as Universe is infinite
* people only need 0.001% of existing resources
* Universe is “twice, or more” as big as before
See all of the MCU Thanos “reasoning” completely breaks down so is complete BS. Halving the known population in an near-infinite universe is meaningless, temporary “fix” if the population still continues to grow the same way. Going to hit the exact same point in just a “few” years.
tbh they already joined foreign realm long ago lol, they have wang family in foreign realm too now which u will see later, and they were the ones to open wall too iirc

The world is doomed!! its more like preserving the heritage than stealing. For example ep 244 He Wushuang got the world in a sleeve and palm in a hand art from the 9h 10E and majority of the top arts from immortal ancient era is now in the foreign realm. The same will happen again. The Wang family is just surviving and understanding that the world is doomed no matter what price and sacrifice is paid through blood, they can either be smart and live or be a hero and dead. They choose to be smart by making their clan as strong as possible and not letting the enemies take the top arts later.
