why do they always have to cut all the actual story in story driven donghuas. the novel is much more detailed and filled with intricacies which the 2nd season fails to touch upon due to being rushed in the favor of action. “My big brother is too steady”, as you can tell from the title was never meant to be action focused. it is more of a grand strategy novel where every battle has a meaning and is one of the only novels of the genre where the fight is truly just a means to an end. if you are not watching/reading it for the story then it is completely meaningless. all the charm of the story is lost because they are trying to target the wrong audience.
