this makes me mad how he abandoned his family
Yep, It always bugs me and still bugs me. shitty writing. i like the show but hate the writing, i just dont get what the author was trying to portray by him abandoning his family, a simple hug to his family would’ve suffice, fans would understand him not returning after that because he now an immortal and they died! but this looser didn’t even do that.
He is almost always on the run, and if he has any connection with his family, then those who are chasing him can use his family to threaten him.
Don’t try to justify it. He didn’t even think of going back even when he WASN’T on the run. He literally visited his home once, and even then he didn’t meet his family, just left like 2 things and fucked off without daring to confront them and say “yo I’m actually fine nice to see you again give your son a hug before I fuck off permanently”. It was a selfish, cowardly move of him. And that’d be fine, nobody’s perfect, but nobody should try to justify his shitty actions with nonsense. Not you, nor the author through Han’s character, because it always will be nonsense.
If he meets his family, they will know that he is not in an ordinary martial arts sect now, so there will be clues for those who want to kill him, because his enemies will not associate the MC with ordinary people.
Not to mention that the MC will have a trace of thoughts in his heart after meeting his family, which is a fatal problem for his practice.
They’re trying to justified their crappy writing for Han Li not going to say goodbye to his family!. This guy hates his family so bad, this maybe a reflection of the author bad relationship with his family in real life.. Han Li takes care or look out for random strangers more than his clan..for example, he would give random ppl medicine and treasure he dont want but powerful to those in the FS realm. He visiting his clan and barely does anything for them..but throughout the series does many great thing for others.
