What an absolute cringe fest! I can’t stand that artsy fartsy tone. I really don’t think the MC voice is the correct choice either. He talks like he has a load of shìt in his mouth. Barely moving his lips. It sounds very monotone and pretentious. Nothing like last season at all. Which loses the disconnect we had with the characters in the previous season. I’m extremely disappointed it turned out this way. I don’t think I’ll be watching the next season.

Personally, I like the series. It’s like a certain movie I watched, but a continuation of it. When I watched the first season it was really nostalgic…and luckily it didn’t end the same way as the movie.
In the second season we see the tragedy of what his life truly is, what it has become with little bits of hope sprinkled here and there. It’s not that he’s emotionless, it’s that he’s in despair…and yet, there’s a bit of him that doesn’t want to give up.
Of course there’s a disconnect between this and the first season. His childhood was manipuoated and he got his hands on an evil weapon. Who doesn’t want to root for the guy to overcome this darkness seeking into him? Then he finds out the world isn’t as black and white as he initially thought and was taught. Someone who taught him how to live ends up in a coma, sacrificing herself for him.. and what does he do? He serves her father, hoping to one day save her, regardless of the cost…all the while the power of that weapon devouring him.
Me, I’m looking forward to next season.

Epic final battle to end S2. Never got this from the drama so I’m happy. Can’t wait for the Demon Beast God invasion to wreck havoc in the whole Murim next season. Hopefully they still continue to follow the novel because we about to see why the Beast God is the GOAT and hopefully they show the background story of the Fire Mirror.
