i think he choose all 4 paths beside fiend lord or he choose body refinement, asura and taiyin or maybe just asura and body refinement. In next episode trailer we see that he started to turn into a fiend, so i think he choose asura and body refinement as asura drives on emotions.

I do get tired of the constant ‘two steps forward, three steps back’ pattern of this anime. At least let the side of good take four steps forward for each three they get pushed back once in a while. It’s like they want you to always feel like all this effort is not only pointless but futile as well, even when they eventually ‘win’, since they never really do. Even the so called ‘saints’ are all corrupt.
