Such a beautiful cinematography and fight choreography! But my god, the story is such a brainf*k? I feel like i watched Donny Darko.
So the Sage (duo kouho) is trapped in the mountain and scams three girls to remove the red stones to get free. But once free, just immediately engages in a fight and dies.
Jiangchen is a 100 year old guilt survivor who seeks to fix the past, but in the end simply hallucinates hugging a princess one last time.
I thought Ying Gou is a little girl with split personality, but then she suddenly grows up in the last episode?!
The Queen just blows up the sage’s mountain for no reason and gets jailed… So theres a monarchy, until there is a sudden higher judicial power…
Xue Er appears out of nowhere, frees the sage, grabs one stone, disappears. This renders everyone else’s stories (that we watched) kinda irrelevant to the outcome.
The Commander and the other guy are just there for the ride.
I rewatched some episodes but the plot still eludes me. The visuals are amazing, though!
