He’s clearly the better fighter, but dude had no plans but to just fight head on. No planning whatsoever for different circumstances like what if the delicate little girl gets taken hostage? Who didn’t see that one coming? Obviously, he is outnumbered and those trash will do anything to win but ML still didn’t think of ways to prevent her from becoming a hostage? And those villagers, no one saying anything or protesting to a tiny little girl being taken hostage? All trash.

Not super happy with this start to the season. Literally had to start skipping forward just to get past the sheer repetition of nonsense. It ruined the action of the fight for me.
MC almost wins, then they threaten little girl, MC almost wins again, then they hurt little girl, MC nearly wins again, then they threaten and hurt little girl, etc etc ad infinitum.
Even worse, they cliffhanger the actual resolution. So we basically spent half an ep watching a little girl get bullied, and the MC snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Definitely excited for the next ep, but not super impressed with this one. It looks like this is a setup ep for the rest of the season’s events and a major mentality change in the MC.
I see what they’re trying to do, but still, there were better ways to do it than this.

This is too much an abrupt change from Season 2 to be believable. Chen Xi went from somebody that could partially fight off, or resist, the final boss in Season 2 to being a fragile plushy?
With all of Chen Nan’s Flash-like Virtual God Step where he can hit 3-4 enemies 10-20 times within a second (during the Shenlan Forest Trial), he’s now unable to keep up with a bunch of local city bullies?
Really trash. Doesn’t the guy have some dragon claw that can grab people? I hate it when they write trash just to justify something. Surely you can come up with something more believable.
