Synopsis : Fifth season of Doupo Cangqiong. The Great Continent of Combat Qi is a place where the strong rule over the weak. Xiao Yan, a once up and coming genius of the Xiao Sect, suddenly lost all his talent at the tender age of 11. Nothern Dragon King is an initial 6 star Dou Sheng (after blood sucking).

Well, I was wronged by my memories from the novel that XY was peak 4 star Dou Sheng (DS) or half-step 5 star DS. So, he was actually an initial 5 star DS but not a peak level 5 star DS as was stated.
This is from ch. 1555 so it will be aired in the next episode/s (sorry for the spoilers, though 🤷♂️):

earlier he used to beat higher levels because he was using top techniques and had good some trump cards but now we are at the highest power level, and the gap between techniques is almost none and everyone has a trump card comparable to xiao yan, for me now his biggest advantage is only flame mantra and his clan tattoo(also every ancient clan member has a clan tattoo)

What a fkn circus show. Only things keeping me watching is Little Fairy and Cailin.
Since I’ve already read the novel, I keep watching the donghua to see where and how the studio will alter the story (mostly for worse rather than better).
Nothern Dragon King never colluded with Hun Clan. He also didn’t know this soul/spiritual technique to counter-attack and prevail against XY’s soul/spiritual attack. In the novel, Magical Beasts are defenceless against soul/spiritual attacks, although they can withstand them if they are strong enough.
