Nice plot twist. I almost forgot about that piece of paper with offer of 100 years of peace. I thought they laze around because they know MC is coming from glancing at the previous future. Although, there’s a very good argument to make: it only delays the war passing it down to future generations. Plus you have to give something now and forever for a promise of tomorrow (never a good idea).
