Synopsis : Fifth season of Doupo Cangqiong. The Great Continent of Combat Qi is a place where the strong rule over the weak. Xiao Yan, a once up and coming genius of the Xiao Sect, suddenly lost all his talent at the tender age of 11. Now a 15-year-old boy, Xiao Yan is scorned by the very people who previously looked up to him, and is on the verge of being kicked out of his clan. Late stage 5 star Dou Sheng. He’s basically like paper compared to the Demon Saints from the Hun Clan who are all at the 7 star Fight Saint level and above. Not to mention the 2nd rank Heavenly Flame at the 9 star Fight Saint level. Only 2 persons on the entire continent can even fight him.

These 2 episodes were horrible, it’s written by clowns, half of the cast was on standby watching the Yao clan get eliminated like it was a television program. No wonder the production team asked for 2 months of delay, the original script must have been even more horrifying than what we ended up with.
I’d say your the clown. What do you expect them to do at their trash level? Is your brain incapable of understanding that the 2nd rank Heavenly Flame is at the 9 Star Dou Sheng level? Did you see how he defeated the rank 7 guy during the last half of the episode? Why did the main character spent 1,5 episode looking scared and hiding?
well we can also see that all the lotus did was bruise them a bit and delay them. It didn’t actually do muc damage. Also MC had to borrow flames other and there is always the “will i be able to merge 7 flames??”. But ofc he can cuz he the MC. I keep telling im to fight like a madman cuz he MC, everything gonna be alsright but he just won’t listen. Its like he can’t hear me or something.

it was not xiao yan’s clan and he had no need to fight for them, even his teacher doesnt have good relations with them, he helped them later because yao clan’s leader asking him for a favor and he helped them escape too. otherwise there was no chance for any1 to survive, even if they fight from start, so it was better to observe and wait for an opportunity at start

Personally I don’t think they understand the scale of thibgs. They see a level 5 and compare to one thing when it doesn’t even come close.
I haven’t even read the whole novel (and won’t till this is over), but I understand the power levels.

You’re wrong. xiao yan defeated Hun Xuzi this episode, but you are somehow incapable of understanding this happened. The question is, why didn’t he defeat him in ep 208? Why did he just stand by and watch the Yao clan die?
Just letting you know, Yi Wa is not a 3rd ranked heavenly flame as when it was refined, it merged with the other heavenly flames Xiao Yan possessed making it equivalent to a 2nd ranked heavenly flame. I do agree it is weaker as it’s a younger flame spirit. But it’s ranking is the same as the Nihility devouring flame.

Getting kinda borred by this classic, where when finaly the mc gets good level of cultivation, then almost everybody is the same level and higher
I think the quality dipped after the break and the story plot currently seems to be chaotic and a mess. So many things going on here and there without proper direction.

So glad it is back…..and a double episode at that!!! Can’t wait to see what happens next.
I feel sorry to the yao clan of this tragic event but at the back of my mind this event is somewhat telling me that they deserve this for what they did to xiao yan’s master, a tragic karma for them and also because this is what author wants to happen anyway. At the early episodes before this episodes happened, they are so arrogant and even mock xiao yan and his master and now in this episode their clan is gone. And as you see in the previous episode we saw that they defend after they saw their fellows died one after the other, they did not act immediately. So its not xiao yan’s fault, and other yao clan members they just look until meteor strikes them then they run everywhere, they look like stupid.
Man, those Hun Clan people are stupid. They got 9star flame with them yet they didn’t just send him to go wreck MC. Like, what in the bloody plot armor is that? xD
LOL you think someone at the 9 Star Fight Saint level is going to listen to anyone telling him about a 5 star Fight Saint? Use your brain just a little bit more. Hun TianDi knew about Xiao Yan LONG before he could even be considered a threat, so why didnt he kill him? Well besides the obvious then there would be no BTTH, someone at that level is not going to pay attention to ANTS.
This episode felt very opposite of Xiao Yan’s personality throughout the entire series up to now. I know you could argue ‘what could he do?’ but he faced odds that were just as ridiculous and more so in the past taking on dou emperor’s when he was dou grandmaster. I think the bigger issue here is it isn’t so easy for some OP helper to pop out of nowhere anymore. The clans are sort of getting karma catch up with their arrogance, ignoring of the goings on around them, and monopolizing of resources all while having conveniently ignored the soul clan for such a long time.
I don’t necessarily think the writing was bad in terms of most of the characters, but Xiao Yan and Yao Chen just standing around watching everyone dying around them felt pretty out of character.
More nonsense. The odds he face your talking about he had help EVERY SINGLE TIME. From pets, persons around him and his teacher. He never faced an opponent which so many realm gaps by himself. Not to mention a 5 star Dou Sheng fighting a 7 star Dou Sheng is idiotic, their power differences are simply too far apart, it cant be called a fight.
