Filling half the screen with ridiculous word descriptions is a major step back. Nobody wants to see half the screen filled with definitions that people are too lazy to go research themselves. Whoever suggested that idea ought to be slapped silly. It’s just too distracting and childish.
I disagree. It’s nice to be able to pause the show every now and then to learn some deeper meaning from what is being said. I wouldn’t know that there was any deeper meaning to research without that, and I suspect I am not the only one. I respect the additional effort the translators have put in, too.

It is helpful, the translator is really good for doing this. Gives more insight on stuff which otherwise we wouldn’t know of.
