What I can remember, they cut out the amount of time Mu Yun took to build up the barrier, combining the weaker old one with a newer one, a new dual-barrier, and using multiple treasures of heaven & earth to power it. It awed the existing One Leaf Formation master at the sophistication of the dual-barrier.
Also, there were multiple factions in One Leaf causing problems culiminating int a group event that involved the Prince, but this version just completely skipped it.
