This donghua was already my favourite but now storyline wise this became my favourite, how beautifully they put together this arc renegade immortal must be once in a lifetime donghua
This mortal world arc is far more interesting that the other two mortal world arcs.. when mc was living with his family, dreaming of becoming a cultivator, then mc was living as a carpenter in small village, pursuing his dao path, now mc is living as father, experiencing what his family felt when he left to be a cultivator at the beginning of the series.. even if his son dies, his soul can be implanted in a new born like what mc did with his waifu..
Nah, his son is not a cultivator so no implant.
he will keep both his son and Qing Yi’s soul safe like li muwan’s soul after their death, and they will be revived in late part of donghua
this kind of episode is good every once in a while.. feels like am watching drama hhhh

He did ask where his mom in the novel. The anime change how Wang Ping is. In the anime, Wang Ping looks is a bit of soul and blood from Wang Lin that get refined by Liu Mei with resentment; while in the novel, Wang Ping is the fetus that get refined.

And novel is a different thing. Comparing donghua to the original just leads to misery.
I felt like in ancient China which is what the story respect and culture is based on the people doesn’t really question the elders. Like people outside of the family would kind to hint or talk of never asking what’s not brought up. For the girl I am pretty sure like in the original novel they both already liked each other so I don’t think either of them would object.
yea in novel their story is more detailed and both love each other a lot and it was qin yi who fell for wang ping in first sight, she had never glanced any other men but it was wang ping whom she glanced on, in later episode we will get to see them together more

this scene is more detailed in novel, in novel qin yi was the one fell for him and also wang ping liked her when he saw her and wang lin noticed that too, so he wanted them to be together and they together create the most powerful mortal kingdom, and after wang pin dies, qin yi will chose to die too instead of living a normal cultivator life( wang ling gave her nascent soul level cultivation) she asked wang lin to keep her soul with wang ping’s soul forever.
